Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician

Calion Technologies is a pioneering company developing innovative ionocaloric refrigeration and heat pumping technologies. We're seeking a skilled laboratory technician to aid our chemistry and engineering teams in characterizing and operating our electrochemical system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and characterize electrolyte solutions using in-house electrochemical analysis techniques
  • Assemble, run, and collect data from custom electrochemical cells
  • Operate and troubleshoot flow cells
  • Record and organize cell data results
  • Slurry casting and electrode fabrication
  • Maintain and organize chemical and hardware inventory
  • Maintain general lab upkeep

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science (or related fields)
  • Strong interest in learning battery science and electrochemistry
  • Hands-on laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrochemical and/or desalination-adjacent flow systems
  • Proficiency in programming
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills to present findings, collaborate effectively, and document results
  • Strong organizational mindset
