Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telehealth Nurse Specialist to join our team at Baylor University Medical Center. This is a contracted travel position that requires strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and experience in patient triage and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide healthcare advice and support over the phone to patients and their families.
  • Answer patient calls, assess their health concerns, symptoms, and medical history.
  • Triage patient calls, determine urgency of health concerns, and refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers or emergency services when necessary.
  • Document patient interactions and update electronic medical records.
  • Stay current on healthcare developments, protocols, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN licensure in the state where the telehealth nurse will be working.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or licenses.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
