Telehealth Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telehealth Nurse Specialist to join our team at Baylor University Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support through telephone triage and assessment.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and experience in patient triage and assessment. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities- Answer patient calls and assess their health concerns, symptoms, and medical history
- Provide health advice, education, and support to patients and their families
- Triage patient calls and determine the urgency of their health concerns
- Refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers or emergency services if necessary
- Document patient interactions and update electronic medical records
As a Telehealth Nurse Specialist at Baylor University Medical Center, you can expect a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a contracted travel position with variable shift schedules.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A current RN license and experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
