Job Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical Sales Planner to join our Sales Operations/Trade Marketing team at Elizabeth Arden, Inc. This role is critical to support strategic sales planning and analysis, enhancing profitability and market penetration.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, organized individual who can collaborate and work cross-functionally across our Commercial, Demand Planning, and Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze consumer purchase behavior and market trends to identify opportunities for placement and promotions.
  • Work in partnership with the Demand Planning team to revise forecasts based on retail sales performance trends, identifying opportunities and presenting revised projections and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align sales strategies for new product development and activations, tracking and reporting on sales performance and market trends using data analytics tools.
  • Provide analysis of retailers' on-hand inventory data, retail sales trends, and weeks of supply, monitoring inventory at trade to ensure optimal stock availability and opportunities.
  • Work with the commercial team to develop phase-out sales strategies for discontinued items.
  • Organize sales data into user-friendly formats for easy access and interpretation by stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide sales insights and support strategic decisions, conducting competitive analysis to benchmark pricing and promotions.
  • Maintain Retail team Call Cycle and Region/Account Executive Territory Assignments.
  • Develop monthly, by-brand retail sales plans by door, by AE, and by region, updating with the latest forecast as required.
  • Maintain US Luxe door counts by account, by house, and by sub-brands, tracking month, seasonal, and annual account rankings.
  • Proactively develop ad-hoc analytical reports and projects to address specific business challenges, opportunities, or changing needs of the business.
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales team and other internal teams to ensure aligned objectives and streamlined communication.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of business analysis experience supporting sales teams, with a strong understanding of retail and customer team perspectives.
  • Experience working with Department Stores or Specialty Accounts is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data and link category management data to retailer/business scenarios.
  • Ability to create recommendations through ad-hoc analysis utilizing analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop selling stories/recommendations as output of analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, and Word, with knowledge of Access and Power BI preferred.
  • Knowledge of technologically driven financial analysis (e.g., ROI, pricing/margin implications).
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills and agility to determine, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, with high energy and motivation.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Must be creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations, with a focus on execution.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree - preferably in Marketing, Sales, Business, Finance, or Accounting.

Minimum 5+ years of business analytics experience supporting Sales or Retailer Buyer teams.
