Key Responsibilities:

As a Fire Protection Systems Inspector, you will be tasked with performing regular assessments, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on various life safety systems, including sprinkler and suppression systems, as well as those from competing manufacturers.

How You Will Achieve This:

Your role will involve:

  • Conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety systems and related products.
  • Identifying and documenting any deficiencies discovered during inspections.
  • Completing service acknowledgments and inspections using appropriate technology, including laptops and mobile devices.
  • Adhering to a structured inspection schedule.
  • Performing minor repairs and programming adjustments on inspected systems.
  • Ensuring timely completion of assigned inspections.
  • Handling equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and engaging in physical labor as required.
  • Assisting in the installation of various types of sprinkler systems.
  • Working in challenging positions, including climbing ladders and using high lift equipment.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • A minimum of 2 years of verified experience in fire protection systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses as mandated by national, state, and local regulations.
  • Familiarity with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems, fire pumps, and foam systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meters.
  • Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various positions, including elevated heights and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including on-call shifts, nights, and weekends.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a positive demeanor, and a quick learning ability.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $21 to $28, determined by the applicant's education, experience, skills, and market alignment. This role includes a competitive benefits package.
