Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing short-term individual counseling, conducting intakes and psychological assessments, and providing substance abuse assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide short-term individual counseling to students.
- Conduct intakes and psychological assessments to identify student needs.
- Provide substance abuse assessments and interventions.
- Develop and implement outreach programming for students.
- Provide consultation services to faculty, staff, and parents.
- Assist with cadet retention activities.
- Provide crisis assessment, counseling, and interventions.
- Provide on-call after-hours coverage.
Requirements:
- Licensed or license eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Demonstrated understanding and adherence to ethical codes and applicable state and federal laws.
- A collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect, and trust towards colleagues.
- A self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals.
- Excellent communication skills.
