Position Overview:
As a Process Improvement Specialist at W.K. Kellogg Co, you will be instrumental in enhancing our manufacturing reliability efforts. Your focus will be on engaging teams to optimize equipment performance, minimize waste, and develop problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing Improvement Tools: Utilize methodologies such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Six Sigma, and High-Performance Organization (HPO) frameworks to achieve operational efficiency and cost reduction through comprehensive employee involvement.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to identify and resolve persistent operational challenges through detailed data analysis.
  • Promoting Waste Reduction: Lead initiatives to analyze site losses, support cost-saving ideas, and ensure effective communication of project progress across various plant functions.
  • Team Empowerment: Design and deliver training programs for operational staff and leadership on K-IWS methodologies, ensuring effective implementation of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Reliability Maintenance (RM).
  • Daily Operations Mastery: Achieve technical proficiency in the production processes of your assigned line, identifying daily inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED with experience in continuous improvement initiatives, or a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in utilizing Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications, particularly Power BI and Power Apps.
  • Experience with PI Vision Suite or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of autonomous maintenance and reliability maintenance practices.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and food manufacturing is advantageous.
