Position Title: Process Improvement Engineer

Role Overview

Become a vital member of our innovative team as a Process Improvement Engineer, where your expertise will play a crucial role in refining our production methodologies. This position entails the exploration, design, development, and evaluation of strategies aimed at enhancing performance indicators in both current and forthcoming manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations to identify areas for enhancement in manufacturing processes.
  • Design and develop prototypes to test new concepts and solutions.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of diverse machinery and tools.
  • Implement modifications or repairs to machine components as necessary.
  • Manage capital improvement initiatives and design alterations for production machinery.
  • Install and assess new machine designs to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff members.
  • Engage in travel to collaborate with vendors and customers, as well as participate in industry trade shows and training events.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Experience in project management related to new equipment acquisitions and their integration.
  • Proficient in CAD software, with a preference for AutoCAD, Inventor, or AutoDesk.

Work Environment

The role is situated in a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere, producing a high volume of components annually. The environment encompasses a variety of processes and equipment, including stamping, die casting, powder coating, and the utilization of PLCs and robotics.
