Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager with over a decade of professional expertise to join our transportation division.

This role will be pivotal in guiding our engineering team, primarily focusing on projects within the transportation sector. The successful candidate will take charge of securing new projects, recruiting talent, and fostering the development of team members. A robust understanding of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Districts 4 and 6 design policies and procedures is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote services to existing and potential clients, aiding in the development of response letters and technical proposals/presentations.
  • Supervise engineering designs, including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and traffic maintenance details.
  • Oversee the production of engineering documentation, such as typical section packages and pavement design reports.
  • Utilize MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes to enhance team member skills.
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Implement internal quality control measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Florida Professional Engineering License.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes.
  • Experience with 3D Corridor Modeling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards.
  • Understanding of other transportation disciplines and their connection to roadway design.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing abilities.
  • Capability to mentor and train junior staff.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
