About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Oracle, working on the development of Oracle Application Express (APEX). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting new applications and supporting/enhancing existing applications on the APEX platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new applications and features on the APEX platform
  • Perform system analysis and development tasks, analyzing functional business requirements to develop solutions and create technical specifications
  • Partner with business analysts, fellow engineering resources, and end users to evaluate business requirements, minimal viable product requirements, and deliver required features/functions
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle APEX, with experience with recent releases such as 23.x a plus
  • Experience with APEX concepts, such as Shared Components, Forms, Reports, Events, Authorization and Authentication schemes, Session state management, Client and Server-side Validations and Grids, etc.
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end development
  • In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Good to strong understanding of database inter-connectivity and data transfer methods such as REST, etc.
  • Intermediate or better experience in modern web technologies e.g. HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, JavaScript
  • Awareness of libraries such as the Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) a plus
