We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide practical nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and observing and recording resident progress.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians in routine to complex situations, including lab and x-ray work.
- Interview residents to obtain health information and instruct and counsel residents regarding basic health needs.
- Teach residents and their families the importance of proper diet, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, transfer techniques, and personal hygiene procedures.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code.
- Experience providing individual or group patient education, work experience in a plan-of-care approach to patient care, and experience providing work direction and orientation to other workers.
