Position Overview:

The AEG Academy is seeking a part-time Mathematics Instructor dedicated to providing academic assistance to our players in various mathematical disciplines. The Academy players engage in structured academic sessions utilizing an online platform during designated hours. This role involves working with students in individual or small group settings to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver academic support during scheduled hours to individual students and small groups.
  • Focus on tutoring in essential areas of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
  • Facilitate math study groups and workshops to promote collaborative learning.
  • Assist students with homework and clarify concepts for better comprehension.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Encourage and motivate students through positive reinforcement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
  • Supervise students as necessary during instructional time.
  • Collaborate closely with the Academy's educational staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education, or currently pursuing a degree in these fields.
  • Availability to work during designated hours.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • This role is conducted in a professional educational setting.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Proficiency in using computers and other office equipment.
