Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

Job Description:

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Our Team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Assist the management team in staffing the restaurant and ensuring that all operational and procedural activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, in accordance with company policy and relevant laws.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct staff to ensure that guests are treated promptly and courteously, and that products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and quantity. Maintain a clean and attractive restaurant environment, adhering to all standards for food safety and sanitation.
  • Talent Development: Assist in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of hourly team members. Evaluate their performance, recommend and submit wage increases, and initiate disciplinary action or termination as necessary.
  • Training and Development: Utilize company training tools to provide hourly team members with comprehensive training in all aspects of restaurant operations.
  • Facilities and Equipment: Assist the management team in maintaining restaurant equipment and facilities, in accordance with company guidelines. Contact the Division Leader to report any needed repairs to equipment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform regular administrative tasks, including new hire paperwork, payroll actions, inventory ordering, register and safe audits, deposit of company funds, and proper accounting of restaurant funds. Investigate, resolve, and respond to guest complaints.
  • Meetings and Training: Attend regularly scheduled store, market, and company meetings, training sessions, and stay current with all federal, state, and local certifications.
  • Marketing and Sales: Assist the General Manager in planning and implementing local store marketing activities to promote products and services.
  • Accounting and Compliance: Ensure proper execution of all accounting functions and comply with internal audit guidelines.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of up to 15 team members on the shift.

Qualifications:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education and/or Skills and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality preferred. High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Capable of adapting to business needs and solving problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment.
  • Functional understanding of Profit & Loss statements, cost controls, and restaurant operations.
  • Demonstrates stamina, focus, compliance, and service-driven abilities while managing their shift.
  • External candidates should have a minimum of 2 years working in a restaurant environment, showing career progression and verifiable results.
  • Internal candidates should have a good record of achieving results and have an above-average knowledge of the brand's operating procedures and standards.
  • Ability to comfortably speak, write, and comprehend English in a business setting.
  • Successful completion of a background and drug screening.

Language Skills:

  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to perceive and react to the needs of others.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to deal with various personalities.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excel preferred.
