Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, positioning patients for radiographs, and operating x-ray equipment to obtain correct exposures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining the procedure and ensuring consent forms are obtained.
  • Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Operate x-ray equipment and controls to obtain correct exposures.
  • Monitor patients' conditions in accordance with technical and safety standards.
  • Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities, including fainting, discoloration, and contrast reactions.
  • Key in patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisitions.
  • Process and maintain exposed images, labeling film for identification and maintaining required records.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.
