We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, translating examination procedures into layman terms, and ensuring consent forms are obtained when necessary.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams, providing clear explanations of procedures to alleviate anxiety
- Position patients for radiographs according to departmental standards and procedures
- Operate x-ray equipment, adjusting settings to obtain correct exposure
- Monitor patients' conditions during exams, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities
- Process and maintain exposed images, labeling them for identification and maintaining required records
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
