The role of the Personal Lines Sales Specialist involves driving the acquisition of new and renewal business, serving as a trusted source of insurance knowledge for clients, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of our division.

This position requires collaboration with Account Managers/Executives and Marketing Coordinators to address the needs of both prospective and existing clients, while also working closely with the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and secure new clientele.
  • Achieve sales targets through new business acquisition and annual renewals.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers/Executives and Marketing Coordinators for effective placement of new and renewal business.
  • Analyze, negotiate, and provide tailored coverage recommendations based on client needs.
  • Complete comprehensive Brown & Brown Sales Training, partnering with experienced producers to gain insights into new business quotes, proposal preparation, and the Private Client insurance landscape.
  • Adhere to established systems, workflows, compliance protocols, and insurance regulations.
  • Address client inquiries and maintain thorough documentation in client files.
  • Explore market sectors by identifying business needs and proposing relevant products and services.
  • Enhance expertise in designated sectors through networking and professional development.
  • Engage prospects through calls, written communication, or occasional in-person visits.
  • Participate in insurance company meetings for relationship-building purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the insurance sector, particularly in personal lines, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Florida Property & Casualty insurance license 2-20 is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

This role may require travel, necessitating the use of personal or rental vehicles. A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record report is required upon hire and periodically thereafter, along with maintaining minimum insurance coverage.
