Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our safety team in Pembroke, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize occupational illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct Job Site Safety Audits: Regularly conduct safety audits to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with all departments to develop action plans to reduce or eliminate occupational illnesses and injuries.
- Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Education: Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Certifications: Possess certifications such as OHST, CHST, Coss, ASP, or CSP.
