The Assistant Restaurant Leader is a key member of the Raising Cane's team, responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role is crucial in upholding the company's standards and culture in all areas of restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Hiring and Termination of Crewmembers: The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for hiring and terminating all hourly, non-management crewmembers, ensuring that the restaurant has the right talent to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Crewmember Onboarding and Development: This role owns the onboarding, status change, and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers, creating a smooth and efficient experience for new hires.
- Scheduling and Performance Management: The Assistant Restaurant Leader creates crewmember work and training schedules, manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers, and provides coaching and development opportunities to ensure they meet the company's standards.
- Shift Management and Cash Handling: This role acts as manager on duty, opens and closes the restaurant, manages cash handling, and ensures accountability for all financial transactions.
- Customer Service and Quality Assurance: The Assistant Restaurant Leader provides exemplary customer service, ensures the cleanliness of the restaurant, and maintains the facility in good working order.
- Operational Excellence: This role enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards, executes shift management meetings, and uses required tools and forms to support shift execution and document results.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
