About the Role

The Assistant Restaurant Leader is a key member of the Raising Cane's team, responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role is crucial in upholding the company's standards and culture in all areas of restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Termination of Crewmembers: The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for hiring and terminating all hourly, non-management crewmembers, ensuring that the restaurant has the right talent to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Crewmember Onboarding and Development: This role owns the onboarding, status change, and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers, creating a smooth and efficient experience for new hires.
  • Scheduling and Performance Management: The Assistant Restaurant Leader creates crewmember work and training schedules, manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers, and provides coaching and development opportunities to ensure they meet the company's standards.
  • Shift Management and Cash Handling: This role acts as manager on duty, opens and closes the restaurant, manages cash handling, and ensures accountability for all financial transactions.
  • Customer Service and Quality Assurance: The Assistant Restaurant Leader provides exemplary customer service, ensures the cleanliness of the restaurant, and maintains the facility in good working order.
  • Operational Excellence: This role enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards, executes shift management meetings, and uses required tools and forms to support shift execution and document results.
