About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Managed Care Strategist to play a critical role in developing and implementing managed care strategies to gain and maintain product access and coverage for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Managed Care Strategies:
    • Develop and implement managed care strategies to build long-term positive and profitable relationships with customers.
    • Work within assigned accounts to cover all market access channels, including Commercial and Managed Care Payers, Trade Accounts, and Group Purchasing Organizations.
    • Develop coverage and reimbursement strategies to secure favorable formulary status and maximize patient access.
    • Conduct financial analysis, develop proposals, secure internal approvals, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contractual agreements with customers as needed.
    • Develop and execute business plans that align with company objectives, strategies, and commercial goals.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Representatives, Area Sales Directors, Field Reimbursement Managers, Medical, and HUB services as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of pharmaceutical and/or biotech experience, with 5+ years of experience with large national accounts, including payers, MACs, and PBMs.
  • Education: BA/BS degree required.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of government and commercial payer coverage, payment landscapes, and policies. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners and communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders.
