Financial Controller Job Description

Ampyr Energy USA is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in North America. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee all accounting and financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, lenders, and investors.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 5 -10 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Renewables/ Solar business experience
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint; knowledge of Excel macros would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical, technology, and communication skills
  • Experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms would be an advantage

  • Will be able to combine a high technical understanding with commercially sound judgement.

  • Must be able to combine a control of the detail with an understanding of the high level strategic or commercial objectives/ issues.
  • Work efficiently, diligently, and effectively to rapidly accomplish key responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced culture and ready to roll sleeves with hands on contribution.
  • Collaborative mindset, flexibility, and ability to work effectively with a geographically spread out team in various time zones, help others even if outside the scope of responsibilities.
