Job Overview

At Planet Technology, we're seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and expanding our organization's infrastructure resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain data center operations, ensuring seamless performance and uptime.
  • Update and maintain PCs that connect to equipment in our laboratory, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Action level 3 infrastructure-related tickets that come through our service desk, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Assist with general server maintenance and upgrades across the organization, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide expertise in Windows on-prem and cloud services, including active directory domains, Azure, Office 365, Entra, and Exchange.
  • Administer OKTA for authentication and application access, ensuring secure and seamless access.
  • Support Zoom and MS-Teams videoconferencing hardware and applications, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Install and support Wi-Fi access points, understanding connectivity and RADIUS authentication.
  • Understand LAN and WAN networks, including routing, subnetting, VPN technologies, and provide expertise in Cisco Meraki, Dell, and Brocade switches.
  • Expertise in VMWare vSphere 7, including provisioning and management of virtual machines, networking, fault tolerance, and storage.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including Prisma access and Global Protect VPN, and create firewall security policies to block or allow traffic based on port, IP address, or application.
  • Strong experience with Cloud migrations and securing cloud access, ensuring secure and compliant cloud environments.
Requirements
  • Strong experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
  • Expertise in Windows on-prem and cloud services, including active directory domains, Azure, Office 365, Entra, and Exchange.
  • Experience with OKTA, Zoom, MS-Teams, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Understanding of LAN and WAN networks, including routing, subnetting, VPN technologies.
  • Expertise in VMWare vSphere 7 and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Strong experience with Cloud migrations and securing cloud access.
