Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Science Educator who is experienced in teaching highly capable, asynchronous learners from 4th to 12th grade. Proficiency in at least one major scientific discipline is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to inspire and engage students in STEM subjects.
  • Integrate technology and diverse resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to continuously adapt and improve the curriculum for twice-exceptional learners.
  • Work closely with families, colleagues, and administration to appropriately challenge and support students.
  • Foster the holistic development of each child by creating an inclusive classroom that values diverse life experiences and learning profiles.
  • Participate in the school community and co-curricular programs, providing innovative and inspirational education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field.
  • Preferred: WA State teacher certification.
  • Two years of experience in science education.
  • Ability to teach both basic and advanced science courses.
  • One year of experience mentoring students in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must successfully complete a nationwide background check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
