Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Theaters Host to join our team at Pacific Science Center. As a Theaters Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our visitors and customers in our theater spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide an excellent guest experience by warmly greeting guests, facilitating entry and exit from our theater locations, responding to guest inquiries, processing transactions, and proactively responding to individual needs.
- Sales Transactions: Conduct IMAX and Laser ticket and concession sales in accordance with Science Center procedures.
- Operational Support: Contribute to overall operational functions by lending support and assistance to projectionists, laserists, supervisors, and managers, informing them of security, first aid, lost person, and lost item situations.
- Financial Integrity: Provide for the accurate tracking of PSC assets by properly receiving, storing, rotating, and inventorying stock.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assure PSC is promoting hygiene and disease prevention by applying measures designed to protect public health while providing concessions sanitation and maintaining the cleanliness of the concessions sales area.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of best practices and principles of guest service industry, including creating positive impressions and interactions, conflict resolution, and promoting safety.
- Experience: Previous cash-handling experience, food handling experience, and experience working in a public venue.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions: This is a part-time regular position with a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Food Handler's permit and MAST card within 14 days of employment.
