Academic Transfusion Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transfusion Medicine physician to join our dynamic team at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. As a key member of our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical consultation in blood transfusion practice and application of therapeutic apheresis for multiple specialty practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical consultation in blood transfusion practice and application of therapeutic apheresis
- Interact with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest quality care for all patients
- Participate in resident and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational, or clinical research
- Work collaboratively with a team of outstanding physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff
About the Division of Transfusion Medicine:
The Division of Transfusion Medicine at Cedars Sinai supports a quaternary medical care facility with over 1000 inpatient beds and provides inpatient and outpatient care to a large and diverse population. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of transfusion medicine through research and education.
Requirements:
- Board certification in clinical pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology, and board certification or eligibility in transfusion medicine
- Current fellows and experienced transfusion medicine pathologists are welcome to apply (all ranks)
