Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide support to our young patients in their homes. This role involves implementing the treatment strategies outlined by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on enhancing communication skills and addressing related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Execute care plans that deliver speech and language services tailored for home environments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document patient progress, noting any changes in their condition and reporting these to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Adjust care plans as necessary, based on the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist's recommendations and physician's authorization.
- Collaborate with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to discuss patient advancements and responses to therapies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in communicative sciences and disorders, along with proof of required clinical hours.
- Valid and current licensure as a Speech-Language Assistant, including maintenance of observation and supervision records.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a rehabilitation, acute care, or home health setting.
