At Home Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in the Mesquite area. As a licensed SLPA, you will provide therapeutic programs to pediatric patients with cognitive, physical, and sensory disabilities or delays in the home and community setting under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in communicative sciences and disorders, and proof of completion of expected semester and clinical hours. They will also have and maintain current license as a speech-language assistant, including maintaining observation and supervision records. Experience in acute care, rehabilitation setting, or home health is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
  • Carrying out the plan of care that provides speech and language disorder services under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist
  • Maintaining current knowledge of client's condition through observation; documenting any changes in client condition to the client file
  • Immediately reporting any changes in client condition or response to therapy to the supervising speech-language pathologist
  • Implementing changes in the plan of care when written by the supervising speech-language pathologist and authorized by the client's physician
