You will assess and communicate the performance of these initiatives, supervise pharmacy staff training for superior patient care delivery, and assist in overseeing clinical pharmacy operations and personnel with the Pharmacy Director.
Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Capable of fulfilling roles of staff pharmacist, clinical pharmacist, and/or clinical pharmacy specialist as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess, design, execute, monitor, and adjust pharmacotherapy regimens based on standards and individual patient needs for effective and safe care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines governing the pharmacy profession, establishing internal controls to ensure compliance.
- Education and Mentorship: Act as a primary resource for answering therapeutic inquiries from various healthcare personnel and provide education and mentorship to pharmacy staff and other stakeholders.
- Supervision and Performance Management: Supervise clinical pharmacists, offer feedback and guidance, and perform necessary disciplinary actions.
- Leadership Team Contribution: Contribute to pharmacy leadership team, providing input for staff performance evaluations.
- Professional Development: Keep informed about the latest developments in pharmacy through seminars, professional organizations, and research to enhance job performance.
- Organizational Representation: Promote the Methodist Health System locally, statewide, or nationally through activities such as publications, presentations, and research collaborations.
- Protocol Development: Support the development and promotion of institutional pharmacotherapy protocols, clinical guidelines, and disease management programs, documenting related outcomes.
