Job Summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterans Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) program, you will play a critical role in providing supportive services to Veterans and their families, helping them achieve and maintain housing stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Effectively assist participants to achieve and maintain housing stability by coordinating and/or providing supportive services, including needs assessment, individualized housing stability plans, and monitoring participant progress.
  • Service Coordination: Interpret and explain information, such as eligibility requirements, application details, and program-specific information, to participants and other stakeholders.
  • Resource Development: Determine participant household needs and priorities, gather and record relevant information, and coordinate services to support Individual Housing Plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with department and contracted community agencies to ensure effective implementation of Individual Housing Plans, and establish and maintain good working relationships with participants, referral agencies, community partners, and team members.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all paperwork and related activities are entered, current, accurate, and in compliance in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license with personal auto insurance, and ability to pass background and driver record checks.
