As a Front Office Agent, you will engage in a variety of guest service functions, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience that aligns with the standards of a prestigious hotel. Your responsibilities will include registering guests, assigning accommodations, processing guest accounts, and collaborating with various departments to fulfill guest needs. This role offers diverse challenges, flexible hours, and the chance to meet a variety of guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and register guests with exceptional friendliness and professionalism, accommodating all special requests when assigning rooms.
- Collect necessary credit and payment details from guests.
- Facilitate check cashing and foreign currency exchange for hotel patrons.
- Work in conjunction with other hotel departments to address guest inquiries and requests.
- Provide comprehensive information regarding hotel amenities and operational hours.
- Strictly adhere to all Loews Hotels Star Service Standards.
- Promote room sales in line with Front Desk sales strategies.
- Receive and relay guest messages efficiently.
- Conduct check-out procedures and manage cash handling in accordance with hotel policies.
- Distribute and oversee the completion of guest satisfaction survey cards during check-out.
- Review Group Profiles and Banquet Event details daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and optimal condition of the work area and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure the Front Desk area is kept clean and well-organized.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies in the Front Office.
- Implement emergency protocols as per hotel standards.
- Alert relevant personnel and departments regarding any significant issues or unusual occurrences.
- Participate in all relevant hotel meetings and training sessions.
- Exhibit politeness, friendliness, and helpfulness towards guests, colleagues, and management.
- Foster and apply teamwork skills consistently.
- Comply with all hotel standards, policies, and regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay informed about hotel updates and changes.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and abilities, demonstrating the capacity to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
- General understanding of hotel operations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional guest service abilities.
- Familiarity with property management software.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Capability to stand for extended periods during an eight-hour shift.
