About the Role

The State of Delaware is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our technical infrastructure, ensuring efficient and effective services for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for our technical infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead complex multi-resource projects, defining, evaluating, leading, tracking, and reporting on project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding of technical concepts and solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in one or more of the core technical requirements and related product support in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Experience with installation and configuration, version testing, debugging, installation of patches, direct technical vendor interactions, tuning, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong analytical skills, with particular emphasis on identifying creative solutions to IT problems within applicable constraints.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project leadership, including defining, evaluating, leading, tracking, and reporting on complex multi-resource projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, I/T discipline, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications commensurate with advanced technical capabilities.
