As a CNA, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating patients, providing daily care and support, and collaborating with our clinical and medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and conduct blood sugar testing as needed
Provide patient care for totally dependent consumers, including bathing, positioning, and feeding
Monitor and interact with consumers, providing ongoing support and care
Record and submit information according to policy and standards
Assist consumers with personal care, activities, and safety issues
Provide training on basic living skills according to consumer goals
Recognize and deescalate crisis situations, collaborating with the treatment team
Demonstrate willingness to work on any unit based on facility needs

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Alabama
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 25 pounds, and stand for extended periods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

Frequent standing, sitting, and walking
Occasional forward bending, kneeling, and squatting
Ability to maintain back extension and lift up to 10 pounds
Strong grasp and ability to ambulate quickly as needed
