Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L), you will play a vital role in our rehabilitation team, assisting Registered Occupational Therapists (OTRs) in providing therapy services to patients. Your primary duties will include:

• Assisting in planning therapy programs for all patients
• Evaluating patient response, measuring change, and recording data as requested
• Preparing and fitting splints for functional and non-functional upper and lower extremities as ordered
• Determining splinting and media supply needs and reporting this to OTR
• Assisting in in-service education programs
• Preparing the patient treatment area for therapy sessions

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Maintaining departmental and patient records as delegated and necessary
• Monitoring supplies used for physically disabled outpatients
• Assisting with patient transportation as needed

You will work under the direction of the Registered Occupational Therapist and will be responsible for giving treatment only on written or verbal procedures as prescribed by a medical doctor or D.O.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) certification
• A degree from an Occupational Therapy curriculum approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Ability to work under pressure and/or stress on occasion
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in various arts and crafts
• Good common sense and ability to reason
• Firm kindness in dealing with patients and ability to hold confidential matters
• Versatility in dealing with a variety of patients and treatment programs
