About the Job

A reputable construction company in Central CA is seeking a skilled estimator to join their team. As a Piping Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing available projects, soliciting subcontractors, and preparing detailed estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess available projects to determine whether they will generate a large enough margin to warrant submitting a proposal.
  • Solicit subcontractors and prepare subcontractor scope packages for bidding.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with general contractors to ensure adherence with company pricing guidelines.
  • Complete all cost proposals, ensuring detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with the operations and finance group to evaluate project performance and recommend refinements and improvements.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience with underground utilities, wastewater/stormwater collection systems, or similar projects.
  • Ability to prepare detailed, accurate estimates.
