Position Overview

We seek a relief veterinarian who is client-focused, understands the profound bond between pets and their owners, and is enthusiastic about implementing low-stress handling techniques in patient care. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in companion animal practice is required.

Your Responsibilities at Heart + Paw

  • Deliver veterinary services with a strong emphasis on a client and patient-centered philosophy.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Partner Doctor and Heart + Paw to fulfill our vision.
  • Advocate for and practice high-quality preventive care.
  • Act as a representative and advocate for the Heart + Paw brand.
  • Ensure proper use and upkeep of all center equipment.
  • Work alongside the veterinary team to manage daily patient caseloads and guide center staff positively and efficiently.
  • Engage with clients in a constructive manner, utilizing available Heart + Paw technologies (mobile app, telemedicine, texting, emails, etc.).
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations as well as Heart + Paw quality standards.

What You Bring to Our Team

  • Valid professional licensure in good standing with the relevant state veterinary board.
  • A passion for low-stress handling and a pet-centered approach to veterinary practice.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A consumer-focused mindset.
  • A strong interest in leveraging technology to enhance veterinary practices and the pet/owner experience.
