Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Loyola Medicine. As a CT Technologist, you will perform computerized tomography procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in advance research projects and assist in the development of new procedure protocols.
  • Act as the CT technical expert for the department, troubleshooting equipment and arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and obtain patient history pertinent to the exam.
  • Produce high-quality C.T. images and generate 3-D images within proper time parameters.
  • Adhere to procedure protocols at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an A.M.A.-approved program or equivalent training acquired via work experience.
  • Understanding of human anatomy and pathology, ability to distinguish between types of medical procedures and diagnoses.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of medical and scientific terminology, licensure/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program, ARRT (RT) licensure, ARRT (CT) licensure, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association, Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
