About the Role

The Helen Ross McNabb Center seeks a highly skilled Master's Co-Response Team Lead to join our team. As a Master's Co-Response Team Lead, you will provide clinical and administrative oversight of the Knoxville Co-Response Team.

This is a community-based position working within the Knoxville City limits riding side-by-side with Knoxville Police officers. The Master's Co-Response Team Lead is provided with all equipment necessary to remain mobile and be able to work from the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health follow-up field calls with law enforcement.
  • Team Lead will assist in data collection and teaching community partners about Co-Response roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead the Knoxville Co-Response Team in providing crisis de-escalation services to local law enforcement.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in a health-related field.
  • One year experience in the social work and addictions field and/or behavioral health and criminal justice setting required.
  • Certification in verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
