Key Responsibilities- Patient Care:
- Obtain patient history and provide education on procedures and treatment options.
- Position patients appropriately for radiographic procedures.
- Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
- Develop and evaluate radiographic results for technical quality.
- Modality Specific:
- Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used for diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
- Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality scans.
- Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
- Quality:
- Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety.
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements.
- Assure the efficient operation of workflow and monitor inventory of supplies and materials.
- Education:
- Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
- Focus on personal development areas and engage in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students.
- Compliance/Safety:
- Stay current and comply with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies.
- Ensure all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
- Complete all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training.
- Education: Associates of Applied Science or other related fields.
- Certification & Licensures: ARRT (MR) certification.
- Experience: 1 year experience as an imaging technologist.
