Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures in a minimum of 2 or 3 modalities, providing basic patient care, maintaining equipment, transporting patients, and preparing and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtains patient history and educates patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention.
  • Positions patients appropriately for the applicable radiographic procedure and performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
  • Develops and evaluates radiographic results for technical quality, such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
  • Applies learned methodologies with independent judgment according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains infection prevention standards and prepares, cleans, adjusts, inspects, and maintains equipment.
  • Produces quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation, archiving imaging data as needed or required.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other medical professionals and performs modality-specific procedures.
Requirements
  • Associates of Applied Science or other related fields required.
  • Ultrasonographer: Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or Associates of Applied Science degree and graduation from an Ultrasound certificate program.
  • Certification and licensures: Diagnostic/Xray: MRTBE, ARRT required; BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required. CT: MRTBE CT required; BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required. Mammography: MRTBE Mammography required; BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required. MRI Technologist: ARRT MRI (or) ARMRIT required; BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required. Ultrasonography: ARDMS within 6 months of hire required; RVT preferred; BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as imaging technologist required; 3 years experience preferred. Experience in hospital Trauma 1 and Trauma 2 environment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CT/Mammography: One year experience in Diagnostic Radiology and/or CT, Mammography preferred. MRI: Two years experience as ARRT MRI (or) ARMRIT preferred.
Work Environment

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment, and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
