Job Overview: St. Camillus Residential Health is seeking a Recreation/Activities Leader to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our skilled nursing facility setting.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description: The Recreation Leader will plan, organize, and lead group activities and individual interventions designed to meet the recreation needs and interests of our residents. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work with individuals of varying cognitive and physical abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead group activities such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and entertainment events.
  • Develop and implement individualized activity plans for residents with specific needs and interests.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure activities are safe and effective.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with geriatric populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
