Job Description

At Trane Technologies, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and installing electrical systems for our HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build custom electrical systems for HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical system designs, taking into account factors such as energy efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Install and test electrical systems, ensuring that they meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical system issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical system designs, installation instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to improve electrical system designs and installations.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuit design, wiring, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical system issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA Certification or equivalent.
  • Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent.
  • Experience with electrical system testing and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as NEC and OSHA.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a typical semi-conditioned shop environment, with occasional work in a typical conditioned office environment. The noise level in the shop environment is usually loud, and the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), and fumes or airborne particles created by welding, grinding, and painting activities.
