Position Overview:

The SAP Configuration Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and management of variant configuration (VC) within SAP systems. This position is essential for customizing products with multiple options, ensuring seamless processes from quoting to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement SAP Variant Configuration solutions tailored to business requirements.
  • Configure product models, classes, characteristics, and dependencies effectively.
  • Maintain and develop configuration profiles, selection conditions, and variant tables.
  • Create custom logic to address complex configuration needs.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of configuration solutions to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Document VC configurations, custom coding, and development workflows.
  • Provide training and support to users and stakeholders regarding VC functionalities.
  • Establish best practices for product modeling, configuration rules, and pricing strategies in collaboration with product management.
  • Streamline processes to reduce product model complexity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience with SAP Variant Configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and processes is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
