Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team, working under the direction of the Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor. This role requires the ability to assess, treat, and care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory abnormalities. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. The Respiratory Therapist must be able to think critically and make sound decisions in a timely manner. A strong understanding of respiratory care principles, including ventilation, oxygenation, and medication management, is essential for success in this role.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care
  • Minimum of one year hospital-based experience preferred
  • CRT licensed issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Hold a current BCLS certificate
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be required within 90 days of hire date
  • Current license to practice respiratory care by the State of Texas Department of Health required
