Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining financial order within our organization, ensuring all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented.
Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Participate in the preparation for the annual audit.
- Maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
- Prepare financial statements for internal and external use.
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
- Analyze market trends and project costs.
- Ensure all accounting practices align with state and federal government regulations.
- Manage tax provisions, tax compliance, and tax planning.
- Oversee asset control, ensuring all assets are accounted for and in good condition.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and accounting software systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax compliance regulations and reporting.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the CFO, the responsibility for finance.
