Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team at Jobot. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to apply their skills in financial accounting, forecasting, budgeting, tax preparation, financial analysis, and financial statements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation, in compliance with GAAP standards.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing detailed financial analysis to provide insight on company-wide financial trends and outcomes.
3. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance, participating in the ongoing development and implementation of financial best practices.
5. Forecast cash flow positions and related borrowing needs, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational expenses and capital investment requirements.
6. Drive process improvements for greater accuracy and efficiency in the finance department and the wider business.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel in particular, with solid understanding of financial accounting and financial reporting principles and practices in accordance with GAAP.
4. Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis, with experience in the preparation and submission of tax statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions, with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
