As a Police Officer with the Village of Mundelein, your primary responsibilities will include enforcing laws and regulations, protecting life and property, and providing exceptional service to the public. You will work closely with our experienced team of professionals to achieve our mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all laws and ordinances within the Village of Mundelein
  • Protect the lives and property of all persons
  • Provide exceptional service to the public
  • Maintain professional decorum and display a proper attitude in all dealings with citizens, superiors, and other Department personnel
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. The annualized hourly rate is $38.99-$57.05, depending on experience. You will also receive comprehensive health insurance, dental insurance, and a deferred compensation plan. In addition, you will be eligible for vacation time, holidays, and a pension plan.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must meet the minimum qualifications and requirements specified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board

Please note that candidates must have previously been a full-time sworn Police Officer in any municipal, county, university, or state law enforcement agency and have been certified or have the ability to be certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. Additionally, applicants must agree to comply with all requirements of the position and have the ability to pass all examinations and training requirements.
