Job Summary

Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review the security requirements of our enterprise network, identifying potential vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Present cybersecurity recommendations to senior management, analyzing user support statistics and implementing appropriate measures to improve network security.
  • Advise on multiple projects, providing cybersecurity network-centered advisement on complex network projects, including planning, designing, and integrating local area or wide area network, Internet and intranet systems, and other data networks.
  • Participate in Architectural Review Boards and Change Management Boards, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of network design and implementation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in networking, with a focus on security engineering and management.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex network problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of network protocols, including border, transport, and routing interfaces and methods for isolating, segmenting, and analyzing traffic at appropriate points.
  • Experience with network operating systems and security software, as well as performance monitoring and capacity management tools.
  • Ability to construct, write, and present professional-level reports, conduct briefings, and provide excellent customer service.
