Summary/Objective

The Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with evaluating incoming materials and components utilized in the production and distribution processes, alongside configuring and assessing products and their parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess products utilizing measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and colorimeters during the receiving process.
  • Create data collection spreadsheets for analysis.
  • Execute final inspection documentation for outgoing shipments.
  • Evaluate incoming materials for quality assurance.
  • Conduct inline inspections to verify compliance with product specifications.
  • Oversee nonconforming items and scrap materials.
  • Maintain thorough records of product evaluations and material certifications.
  • Perform in-house testing of products as instructed.
  • Manage and maintain quality control equipment and tools.
  • Identify and support the implementation of corrective measures for quality concerns.
  • Assist with initial article inspections and sample evaluations.
  • Effectively communicate inspection results to various departments and suppliers.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in quality measurement, with familiarity in measurement tools; NDE experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and assessing engineering drawings is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to use various quality control inspection devices and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to operate a forklift; willingness to learn is essential.
