Job Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist II, you will be responsible for evaluating, auditing, and documenting the materials, processes, and products utilized in the assembly of aircraft interiors. Your role will involve using various measuring instruments and techniques to ensure compliance with the quality standards set by the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide regular verbal and written updates on inspection progress.
  • Conduct intricate acceptance testing using specialized equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated areas, adhering to standards such as 5S.
  • Interpret and understand written process specifications.
  • Engage in and contribute to organized team meetings, including QRQC and morning stand-ups.
  • Deliver on-the-job training in quality inspection and testing methods to fellow employees as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Utilize ERP systems for daily tasks, including recording labor hours and closing operations.
  • Access engineering documents and work instructions electronically as required.
  • Read and comprehend schematics and work instructions effectively.
  • Perform tasks safely in accordance with Environment, Health & Safety regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including tool organization and area re-layout.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and testing equipment as instructed.
  • Assist in other operational areas as needed, as directed by Supervisors or Managers.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
4-7 years in a related field.

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Windows Operating System and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Capable of reading and understanding written process specifications.
  • Problem identification and basic problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Preferred ability to read engineering drawings and technical literature.
