The Head of Operations will manage critical areas such as Finance and Facilities, including vendor selection, purchasing, accounting, and technology management. This role also acts as the primary human resources liaison, implementing programs designed by the central office and collaborating closely with the Head of School to uphold BASIS standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in financial or purchasing management
- Minimum of 2 years in facilities management
- Preferred experience in HR functions
- Background in education management or non-profit organizations is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational aspects of the school, including security, IT, and inventory management
- Manage the school budget and maintain accurate financial records in collaboration with the central office
- Work with the Head of School on personnel decisions, including salary and benefits evaluations
- Coordinate human resource functions for school staff in partnership with the central HR team
- Evaluate and manage contracts for services such as maintenance and housekeeping
- Oversee procurement of supplies, including textbooks and operational materials
- Facilitate the bidding process for external contracts
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, including managing emergency drills
- Supervise front office operations and support staff
- Maintain comprehensive records of school assets
