Role Overview
The Virginia Lottery is on a mission to foster growth and contribute positively to the community while ensuring an enjoyable experience for all. We are currently in search of a Lead IT Compliance Auditor to become a vital part of our Finance and Administration Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Audit Evaluations:
    • Execute field audits and create comprehensive documentation to substantiate findings.
    • Assess internal control systems and formulate audit strategies.
    • Employ diverse auditing methodologies to verify system integrity.
    • Deliver documentation to the Internal Audit Supervisor.
  • Audit Planning:
    • Establish audit goals and evaluate the robustness of controls.
    • Draft thorough audit procedures and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
    • Uphold compliance with IT Security Audit Standards.
  • Engagement in System Development:
    • Analyze new systems and assess their internal controls.
    • Offer insights during the development of systems.
  • Reporting and Recommendations:
    • Examine and suggest modifications to existing policies and procedures.
    • Compile audit observations with corrective recommendations.
    • Communicate audit-related issues to leadership.
  • Involvement in Security Discussions:
    • Review IT governance policies and procedures.
    • Ensure alignment with security protocols.
    • Participate in security discussions with IT partners.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Auditing, Accounting, or Information Systems.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Information Systems Auditing.
  • Proficient understanding of auditing practices and information security.
  • Capability to assess controls over IT infrastructure.
  • Outstanding communication abilities and proficiency in office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA are highly regarded. Familiarity with audit management tools is advantageous.
